The Festival , in solidarity with the situation affecting existing laws very punitive and many countries in the field of homosexuality , has scheduled in this 13th edition of the International Film Festival Gay and Lesbian Barcelona , several examples of struggle for human rights LGTIB in over twenty countries , always with quality and innovation cinematic narrative level.
Repressive laws that affect citizens of Russia and Cambodia are collected by young filmmakers strong risking retaliation by the laws of their respective countries in the world expose these social realities.
This year FICGLB also includes other topics such as bullying as a sign of homophobia , identity issues in adolescence, lack of social awareness ... To complete the program , we will have several filmmakers showcasing their films and open discussions with the público. 3,540,000 visitors during the year 2012 is one of the main attractions of the Costa Daurada, the most visited theme park in Spain and the sixth in Europe.
The complex, which has been expanded several times since its inception, currently consists of a theme park (PortAventura Park), a water park (Costa Caribe Aquatic Park), a golf course (Mediterranean Beach & Golf) and four themed hotels.

In 1997 , Universal Studios became majority shareholder, renaming the complex as 'Universal 's Port Aventura'. In 2005, La Caixa through its subsidiary shareholdings Criteria, took control after the sale of all shares of NBC Universal, recovering original project named 'PortAventura' .
The park is divided into six areas based on different historical civilizations . Each area tries to faithfully reproduce details that exist or existed in those civilizations and cultures for maximum immersion . From 1995 to 2010 there were five areas, but in 2011 opened SesamoAventura ( playground ) and setting the number of areas in six.
